After working as an Architect for several years in some of the top architectural firms in Minneapolis, Minnesota and Ann Arbor, Michigan, Kendra D. Fjerstad decided to take a leap from the security of an office environment and take a new path of self employment. Formerly designing in disciplines ranging from retail to commercial to corporate to multi-family homes, as well as handling marketing and graphic design work, she left to start her own design firm in order to pursue her long time interest in designing homes. She has since built strong partnerships with builders in Minnesota and Wisconsin area where she designs quality custom homes for them and their clients. Her houses have been featured in several Parade of Homes, have been chosen for The Luxury Home tour, have been featured in magazines and articles and have also won awards. In addition she designs privately for homeowners looking to design their dream home, add on to their existing home or finally build that vacation home they've always wanted.

In addition to designing beautiful custom homes, Kendra also uses her design talents as a freelance graphic designer and residential feng shui consultant. She has a strong interest in asian traditions and culture and incorporates them into many areas of her life, including training in the ancient martial arts of Northern Shaolin and Mantis Style Kung Fu.
